when i start the computer we always get a box pop up saying that nortons auto protect has experianced an error.

when i click on it and do the updates norton will still not work.

friend, do you have the norton cd?or are you downloaded it from norton site??

anyway you have to keep the serial number before uninstalling it. try to uninstall it through your add or remove program and still you are facing problems you will get a dialog box which will lead you to norton site. download norton removal tool from there and use that to uninstall your version.

then reinstall and update. you are done!!!

but dont forget to keep the serial number with you

re-install it, update it, or, if your trial version has expired, get a full version
You can try deleting it thru your control panel, then re-installing it, also you can run it from your cd. If all else fails, contact Norton, they should make it good.
