My norton 360 has a red circle with a cross in it?

I clicked on the icon and a thing came up saying my PC security is not secure but it won't let me click on details to fix it. It also says that auto protect is off but when I go into settings the only option that isn't faded out is ''restore''. My norton hasn't expired yet. Can anyone please tell me what's wrong? If so could you explain it in simple terms as I'm a bit slow when it comes to computer things. thank you xx
