I think I have a bug? Help?! My Norton AntiVirus 360 keeps disabling...READ ON...?!?

I believe I have a bug - I am having problems with my Norton 360 (Toolbar is now RED) up top - Browsing "Not safe" - "AUTO-Protect Off" - I Did go in and do the usual steps, and it keeps disabling, even after cold-starting computer, etc. -

I've been 'told' I may

have a bug - Does anyone have a program to help me rid this particular one ??

When comp. first boots up, I'm fine - then bottom Icon turns red again - I've been through all the steps - Someone suggested "MicroTrend" but I don't find it user-friendly - didn't work!

Any other Sites I can try? Please and thanks? I really need to get rid of this!

Use some other software. AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info

i never did care for Norton so i uninstalled and went with AVG.
Just dump the Norton crap and install Kaspersky. And if you must use a free anti-virus, then it should be AviraAntiVir and not AVG.
It could be, your Norton is not activated. Once the trail is over, Norton will disable all it protection.
First uninstall it. Second download and install AVG AntiVirus from grisoft.com. Thats your best solution right here.
Norton is full of CRAP!! The best Antivirus ever known is Kaspersky Antivirus. Install kaspersky Internet Antivirus and u will give testimonies. and if u are not convinced, u can visit their website to download the trial if that will do. But believe u me KAS.. is the best. Dump Norton, Forget Macafe, don't even think about AVAST or AVG but Endorse kaspersky

Disconnect from the internet and network, and completly remove norton 360 and restart. Use another machine and download ccleaner www.ccleaner.com, install and run on the computer which you removed 360, and restart your machine and reinstall 360, and run laull.exe, that brings up the old style live update in which you can choose what you download. Other than that, contact the symantec support line.
