Whoa wth.......?

My PC is kinda working now but now my Norton internet security says "auto protect off"

SO i went to the shortcut via the desktp and it says "error" so i tried to update but the update says it has an error

What the heck is wrong??

Whoa wth.......?best antivirus software

Sounds like one of Norton's many bugs. You will have to uninstall Norton, then reinstall it again. Make sure to run the updates. Sometimes errors happen in between updates that cause problems. That's why I don't like Norton. I have had no problems with Kaspersky -- a great anti-virus program. But meanwhile, if you've paid for Norton for the year, might as well use it. But as mentioned above, you will have to install it again to clear the error.

Whoa wth.......?firewall

Get free /opensource/ and easy-to-use Clamav /multiplatform software/ - recommended

Commercial "security" products are over-rated and slow down your PC terribly. Ditch Norton, get a router instead of a modem, turn UPnP off, get Spybot S%26D, and get Avast! or AVG (but only get these if you do a lot of browsing on unfamiliar sites, if you use P2P, or if you don't feel like you are competent enough not to get anything). That setup is completely safe, and far lighter on you PC than Norton.
