I have asked the sherriffs dept for help in crimess against me and the are not being very helpful?

I called 911 to tell them a man was going to attack me. we were at the sherrifs dept, and 2 deputys let him walk up to our car and jump in the window of the auto and hollar threats and obscenitys at my girlfriend and i.

then physically remove him . no charges were put against him .

the other day in the courthouse parkin lot he hollared at us again , deputies were there and nothing was done to protect us. The major at the sherriffs dept. says he cannot protect us. I wonder if me being a dark skinned Latin man has anything to do with it. My buisness was burglarized a year ago, I have payed for info to find who did it, now i am having to call the detectives to continually ask them to speak to the burgalars. can anyone please help me? It has absolutley nothing to do with your skin color. The laws now days make it almost impossible for the police to do there job which is: to PROTECT and serve.

It is not against the law for someone to yell at you or for them to lean on or in your car. unfortunately. Believe it or not now days the cops dont even take it seriously when someone makes threats. They will not get involved unless the person actually does something to you. HOWEVER, if you want the person to leave you alone you can go down to your local courthouse and get a restraining order put against them. This will say that have to stay a certain amount of feet away from you at all times (the distance differs with where you are). Then if that person violates the restraining order and comes to close to you; you can call the police and have them arrest for violating the restraining order.
