So, I was thinking about a question posted in "auto racing." Should it be banned? My answer was, of course, no. However, it got me thinking of certain other bans, like books, music, banning peanut butter from schools, banning certain equipment from playgrounds (which may or may not be safe). Also, the whole "gun debate" thing -- is it the parents who are at fault for leaving their guns around, or should we take away guns altogether?
My view is that we REALLY need to start taking responsibility for ourselves. We can't just lay down laws to protect the idiots...
So, I want to know from the people: What do you think about all this?
Should more things be banned for our safety?hijack this
i agree that society has lost complete ability to take responsibility for ourselves. everyone wants to blame someone else. it's like we expect big brother to keep check on all these things we're to lazy to be knowledgeable of and then compensate us later if something fails.

I agree with you. People are responsible for themselves. Sink or swim. The government needs to quit trying to take over our lives. Adults should have sense enough to take care of themselves. If not, then they can take the consequences.
I think anyone who wants to go to the extremes and ban, ban , ban should go live in a communist country, America is a free country and as long as someone isn't hurting anyone else they should be able to do what they want. Mind to your own business.
Hell. Uh. Good question.
Do you know if the Brisith still don't give the right to bare arms? That might stop idiots from walking into places and killing randomly.
i pity the person that tries to take my guns away!
irresponsible people give gun owners a bad name. i have had guns in my home since i was a toddler and was taught very well about them. over 25 years exp, and not one mishap.
I think life is for living. People that want to ban mankinds pursuits to protect us from ourselves don't know how to live.
