How long does car wax last?

I waxed my car a month ago for the winter to help protect from road salt, etc. I applied two coats of a general Turtle Wax. Since that time I have rinsed it on warmer days to remove the salt buildup and it has been washed once by an automatic machine. How long will the wax protect my vehicle for? Did the auto wash remove it? When the time comes, do I need to remove the wax? What does it take? Thats a lot of questions, thanks for the help in advance.

one good wax job will last about a month, and then you,ll have to re-wax it,even the best of waxes wont last much longer than a month,it takes a few good car washings to remove the wax,so if you wax it once a month you,ll be ok on it,good luck with it.

At my house, about 4 minutes (I have 5 cats that love to run all over the car) In general, about 6 months, depending on weather.
I have always liked the carnuba wax the best. I use Meguiars myself.

The amount of time that it lasts depends on the weather and if the car is parked in the sun a lot.

There is no really set time as to how long it lasts, a couple of months is about average.
Wax comes off after normal everyday driving. There are so many factors. In the summer, I generally wax every two-three weeks.

A good way to tell if you still have a coat of wax on...when it rains...if you see beads of water, you still have wax, if it all just runs off your car...you need more wax.

You shouldn't have to remove your wax, it will eventully come off. To make sure that your wax is on, and rubbed in, I reccomend a buffer!

Happy waxing!
Rewax your car when the water on the car does not easily "bead" up and roll off the car. Try Zymol car wax, it's the best I've ever used!
